First: FreeBSD-1.1-BEAT is great! I love it. Second: There seems to be a bug in the binary distribution. When you do a "extract bin" some *many* files have wrong permissions. e.g. /etc/termcap *link to /usr/share/misc/termcap* A normal user is not allowed to cd to /usr/share since it is 700 for bin. The same with /usr/libexec it is 700 owner bin. It's just bad to search the whole tree for correct/incorrect permissions before you can start to use your system. - Just MHO, Peter -- /-------------------------------------------------------------------\ | Peter Burgstaller| Student of Computerscience | | (peter@cosy.sbg.ac.at)| in Salzburg, Austria (Europe) | | "If a Trainstation is a place where a train stops, | | what is a Workstation ?" | \-------------------------------------------------------------------/
