i'm not certain about 386bsd0.1 (bsd386 ?? <=> BSDI) ?)

so, using FreeBSD1.0.2; something like:
mount -t pcfs /dev/fd0a /mnt 
works for me...
it needs to be configured in your kernel-set-up, though..
