Hi Guys

I am having a small problem getting MH (latest version) to work
on my machine. I was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers.

My configuration is this:

FreeBSD 1.0.2 x 2 on a piece of Ethernet.
KA9Q router also on this Ethernet, with a Dial-in PPP link.

The PPP link is only made when I want outside access.

I have a secondary nameserver running my side, and my primary is on
the other side of the PPP link.

The problem:

When I switch on, but have not made the PPP connection, (ie the local
nameserver has no valid information) MH cannot deliver LOCAL mail. I
see the light flashing on my ethernet card, so it is going to the net
for something. After a while it complains that SMTP is not accepting
HELO etc.

With the nameserver going, even with the line down afterwards, it
delivers local mail fine.

I would like it to be able to deliver mail to local users without
net involvement (/etc/hosts ok for the other UNIX box)

Any pointers?

Here is my mtstailor file:
==========================

> mmdfldir:	@(MHDROPATH)
> mmdflfil:	@(MHDROPFIL)
> hostable:	@(MHETCPATH)/hosts
> servers:	localhost \01localnet
> sendmail:	/usr/sbin/sendmail

And here is my MH file:
=======================

> # @(#)MH.386bsd,v 1.2 1993/02/09 15:19:38 jtc Exp

Both pulled from FreeBSD-current.

HELP!
