If you want to run -current a full source tree is recommended:

Braae:/#du -ks /usr/src
80466   /usr/src
Braae:/#du -ks /usr/obj
50979   /usr/obj
Braae:/#

You can get away with less in /usr/obj if you don't build the whole
tree at once.  You can also choose only to set up part of the source
tree, but I would advise against that.
