I'm looking for a serious unix god for a friend.

He was adding a new disk, and ran newfs by accident on his old disk
(but killed it half-way through). We're hoping there's a chance that
the data on the disk can be recovered?

Right now he doesn't have email, but hopefully we'll be able to find
someone (in the bay area?) who might know how to peice this disk back
together again?

There's lots of hard work and loving care gone into this disk. It
would be wonderful if some of it was salvageable...

Thank you in advance.
