That may be true, it may not.  The sparc 10, Power PC and Pentium are all 
in similar performance categories.  What will often make a difference in 
performance is peripherals, motherboard design and OS.  The only *fair* 
comparison of these three systems would be with the same OS (Solaris 
for power pc should right around the corner :) on all three machines, 
otherwise you are comparing apples and oranges...  MacOS on a power mac 
goes directly to the hardware, whereas the MAE from apple, is using 
X-windows for display, and Unix for the underlying services.  I imagine 
that pure macOS is going to be better at some things, worse at others...
