Date: 31 Mar 1994 19:00:06 -0800 Organization: Seattle University, Seattle, WA, USA Lines: 24 Distribution: na Message-ID: <2ng2nm$pov@bach.seattleu.edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: bach.seattleu.edu Thank you for considering my plea. My friend has an existing system which uses the Diamond SpeedStar 24 video board. He is a PC support type and would like to obtain FreeBSD or NetBSD to learn Unix. The XFree86 system does not support this board for reasons not worth repeating here, and neither he nor I have the knowhow to craft a driver. So...If you can help the guy out please forward a patch or other helpful info to me. P.S. Of course the BEST thing would be to replace the board, but at this time he would like to avoid spending the $300 or so... Thanks much Jim -- -- Jim Cadwell cadwell@seattleu.edu
