I'm seriously contemplating picking up a PowerMac in the fall when my
next Guaranteed Computer...er...Student Loan comes in. I only want it
to run NetBSD on. :-)

I don't know of any port that has been started yet by any of the three
teams, but it seems to me that NetBSD would be the most obvious choice
since it's already set up for multi-platform development. I don't
know if any of the internal hardware in the PowerMacs matches the 68k
Macs, but there is 68k Mac support already in NetBSD. Seems to me a
meshing of the RS6000 compiler stuff and some Mac hardware stuff, plus
a lot of praying and sleepless nights might give you a very nice
PowerMac port under NetBSD. Anyone else contemplated this yet?
