How odd that I have multicasting working and someone else with a fast link to the MBONE was **watching and listening** to the ietf meeting in Seattle. Yes is Deering's old multicasting code which I know that you don't like.. In the meantime at least I am trying to port a few of the multicast apps. All I did was compiled Jim Lowe's port of Deering's multicast code to FreeBSD. On the issue of providing nothing while we wait for you to get a PC and then complete your multicasting code, I STRONGLY DISAGREE. I thought that you guys were short on volunteers:) Amancio BTW: Van Jacobson is not releasing yet the sources for vat there is a modified version of the sound driver which somewhat works with the PAS16 that work was done by Jim Lowe. What I am trying to do is to get the sources for a "vat" compatible multicast app. I started to play around nevot, a vat compatible app, the reason is just mostly my port. -- FREE unix, gcc, tcp/ip, X, open-look, interviews, tcl/tk, MIME, midi, sound at freebsd.cdrom.com:/pub/FreeBSD Amancio Hasty, Consultant | Home: (415) 495-3046 | e-mail hasty@netcom.com | ftp-site depository of all my work: ahasty@cisco.com | sunvis.rtpnc.epa.gov:/pub/386bsd/X
