I have an 8 port card here that works well. Problem was that the card has no masterport. You have to patch sio.c accordingly (the patches from Bob Willcox for both FreeBSD-1.0.2 and 1.1-BETA were posted in this group a few weeks ago). My card is a Sphinx AD8 with 8 16450 UARTs on sockets (I'm sure that 16550 are no problem). I heard that FastComm 4W (4 ports) and BocaBoards BB1004, BB1008, BB2016 (I guess 4, 8 and 16 ports) work too.
