When you call news.daily from the cron, use the following string:
[somewhen] * * * csh -c 'news.daily [options]'
OR set SHELL=csh in news cron tab,
OR use shell from FreeBSD 1.1 :)
In all previous releases using of csh when calling the long
shell scripts solves this problem with pipes.
