Well, it hasn't happened (no lead developer dropping out, certainly no 16-month power struggles when *anyone* dropped out), so I think the whole theory is on shaky ground. But the main thing is, why argue? Everyone has a theory why the other operating system won't work, or won't work well. AND YET BOTH LINUS AND THE BSD SYSTEMS *DO* WORK, AND WORK WELL. Ask the people who USE them, as opposed to the people who COMPLAIN or SNICKER about them. A lot of excellent work has gone into both. THEY SHOW IT. Please take this thread to alt.flame, where it belongs. It's serious flame bait, and not terribly constructive.... lilo
