I am trying to set up sendmail (from the FreeBSD v1.0 Walnut
Creek CD) with little success. I am using (or at least attempting
to use) the m4 configuration files (/usr/src/usr.sbin/sendmail/cf/...)
I can get local mail working, and incoming UUCP mail seems to work,
but I can't coerce outgoing mail to go via my UUCP connection. The mail
just sits in the mailq with a 'name server: hostname lookup failure'
error, which isn't surprising since my name server only knows about
the trimble.co.nz domain.

The environment I'm attempting to setup is:
  - The only connection to the outside world is via UUCP
  - I am running a name server
  - It needs to be able to forward mail to other SMTP machines
    on the local net

Machine name baldrick.trimble.co.nz
Domain trimble.co.nz
UUCP Name trimble (no aliases)
UUCP Host equinox (equinox.gen.nz)

Does anyone have a similar working configuration? Any suggestions
greatly appreciated.

 Greg :-)
