I have *finally* gotten my DAT drive to work on my NetBSD system.
Though the FAQ offered a lot of information, much of it was out-dated,
and this is the core of my suggestion:

Each answer to a FAQ should have:
	1) date the answer was added to the FAQ  (MOST IMPORTANT!!)
	2) system / configuration, especially since a lot of answers
	   seem to apply to "386bsd-0.1, NetBSD-0.8 or earlier"!
	3) (optional, but helpful) attribution w/ email address
