: I am interested to know what are the best graphics cards (VL-BUS)
: supported by *BSD (expecially S3 family, ATI Mach, etc.) using X-Window.

: I am also glad to know which of them supports direct (linear) frame
: buffer access by CPU.

I'm using a VL-Bus S3 805i Card : Miro Crystal 16Si, 2MB.
xtones on 16MB RAM, 486/50 EISA/VL : approx. 80.000 !!!
thats fast enough for me ...
(and its a very cheap card)

Bis denne ... Lars.
