hi michael,
 
the most noticeable change to the os in compiling motif is the
way in regexp, as used by libm/Xos.c.  watch out the difference
in syntax of regcomp(3), regexec(3), regfree(3).  libc now support
this and conform to posix, instead of the previous old syntax of
U of Toronto regexp(3).
