'boot-easy'. It says that this boot manager is in the tools
subdirectory of the FreeBSD distribution site, although it doesn't say
where that is. I found one at freebsd.cdrom.com but can't find any

Does it really?? I'll go check. What it should say is that the `os-bs'
boot manager is provided. Not `booteasy', but pretty much the same
thing. Now as to whether or not it will let you boot from the D drive
I don't know - I've never tried!
