Good luck finding a BSD machine of any kind out there with the necessary resolution in the clock itself to provide this kind of resolution. Most are ~.01 seconds; a few are ~.001 seconds. I don't believe I've ever heard of one with 10 us resolution. (anyone from Cray care to comment?)
