try to start rxvt as 'rxvt -ls' (LoginShell)

: Also, bash doesn't want to logout by using ^D. It just gives me the

: after I hit ^D about 10 times. I know it used to work right, but for some

: bash running correctly, so it doesn't seem to be related to that. Any other
: ideas? I've been searching through my .fvwmrc and my .profile and the xdm
: stuff, so any help would be appreciated.

in one of your 'config-files' (like .cshrc or wherever) there might be
a 'set ignoreeof' (or so) ?
