I worked on an IBM T-R driver for MIPS RISC/OS a few years
ago, which was BSD'ish.  Don't think I've heard of T-R drivers
for BSD other than that, though.  You might want to contact
my former employer -- they might be willing to either write
(port) the driver on a contract basis, or sell you the source
