Note that the files mentioned by this message are only the encumbered kernel sources. Some of the userland stuff was also tainted, but I think all of it has been replaced with GNU equivalents. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From owner-freebsd-hackers@freefall.cdrom.com Tue Feb 8 19:00:38 1994 Date: Tue, 8 Feb 94 15:22:22 PST From: sef@kithrup.com Subject: thos tainted files To: freebsd-hackers@freefall.cdrom.com Cc: bostic@cs.berkeley.edu Sender: freebsd-hackers-owner@freefall.cdrom.com Precedence: bulk Rob Kolstad (now President of BSDI, I'd congratulate him here but he'd never see it :)) sent out a message, bless him: >Q: What's all this about `binary-only files'? Some of those surprise me a lot, given that some of them had nothing but empty functions in them. Whatever. *BSD are still affected by some of these, at least. So someone needs to get a copy of 4.4BSD-Lite ASAP. I would, but I don't have any money; I'll be trying to see if I can get my company to get one. Can WC cought up the money for it? (I'm assuming it'll be about $800 or so, just like the Net/2 release, but I don't know how much it'll really be.)
