My BSD based PC has developed a strange little problem!

If I try to login via the COM1 port I get the usual login prompt to which I
enter my username but instead of being prompted for the password as normal I
just get the login prompt all over again!

Now my ttys file has tty00 set at 38400 and this is defined in gettytab but I
don't know where else to look for this problem???

Any help, suggestions, RTFM's greatly appreciated.

Spencer
