The first problem is with the ultrastor 34F on IRQ 14. On IRQ 14, windows simply refuses to start up - the drives start spinning, and the system hangs... So, since my write up is due tomorrow, I just switched it over to irq 11. But something is still not right. Although windows runs, and word starts up, word will hang constantly. The only way to get it out is to CNTL-ALT-DELETE to the Windows option and then go back into word. The same thing happens for wordperfect. Other programs seem to run fine... (pcplus, etc). Has anyone else had similar problems with their system? I have a 486/66 VLB with an Ultrastor 34F, Orchid 1280 + VLB (in 1024 x768 mode), and a mediavision PAS (don't know if that makes a difference.) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Mark D.
