Firstly, I tried XFree86-2.1 and had no success, with the X programs returning back a 'Cannot map ld.so' error. I switched back to XFree86-2.0 as I had this running fine when I was running NetBSD-0.9. I _thought_ I had XFree86-2.0 running, it would run binaries just fine, but when it came to compiling anything, things would compile just fine until the compiled program returned a 'Cannot open display' error. I'm running NetBSD-current, and would prefer to get XFree86-2.1 running, but am prepared to drop to 2.0 if I can only get that going. Can someone please shed some light on these bizarre problems????
