Actually, the "long awaited release" (sic) was 0.2. Then, after promising
that it would be released in the summer, the Jolitzes disappeared, and
were never heard from again, except, allegedly, from jmonroy.

The ad does not say what this "RELEASE 1.0" is. I posted asking if anybody
knew what it was, and nobody spoke up. Which, to me, implies that nobody
who read the group had seen it -- which makes me wonder how much testing,
if any, this "1.0" release actually got.

I've no doubt that the CD-ROM would be useful -- since it's got all of
the articles written by the Jolitzes for DDJ about 386BSD. As well as
all of the other DDJ articles, it sounded like.

But I'm not going to spend $102 for it, just to find out that it is an
outdated, buggy version of something I already have.

And if it *is* the fabled 0.2 release, now called 1.0 for reasons unknown,
why hasn't it shown up for ftp somewhere? Why wasn't an announcement sent
to c.o.3.announce?
