I've defined in my Kernel-Config-File all 4 com-ports, so that one of them is sitting on irq 5. AND snd2 (soundblaster) is on irq 5. now the question: why do the kernel detects both devices with "options COM_MULTIPORT" and refuses snd2 ("..not probed due irq-conflict with sio3 at irq5) without multi-port-option? OR does kernel support EISA-irq-sharing? Bis denne ... Lars.
