I can't say that I've ever experienced any of these problems.  And
I've been using NetBSD with every version since 0.8.  (Actually, I'm a
pioneer from the 386BSD 0.0 days. ;-).

I don't know why you had those problems, but I know they aren't
typical of NetBSD.
