Have you guys ever learned anything |>about IBM's MVS in class? |> I learned quite a bit about IBM's MVS and SVS and VM in class. This was at the University of Nebraska (Lincoln) durning the 70's and early 80's. In that period UNL was an IBM shop. We would even get "loaner" teachers from SAC (yes the hole) to explain things like the philosophy and fine points of MVS. This doesn't mean that IBM gave us access to source, however, the first 360 "OS" was written at UNL (NUROS) and considered by IBM until they got their own working. -- ######################################## # # Disclaimer: # Opinions expressed are only my own, # and should not be construed as # representing those of Motorola Inc. # ######################################## Walter Lundby Systems Technology Research Land Mobile Products Sector Motorola, Inc. 1301 E.
