I will play with them one by one to see which one kept the machine from booting 386BSD (it would hang during the boot). Anyway, I installed 386BSD .1 on my Toshiba 156MK-FB SCSI disk. When I do a shutdown -todos, it tells me it can't make the dos partition bootable. I then have to boot from my dos (5.0) boot diskette and use fdisk to make the dos partition bootable. Sound familiar to anyone? BTW, the release notes dis-recommend getting 386bsd from uunet. Why? Is this a political statement? I got the tinyBSD there. They only seem to have 35 out of 56 bin archives (is this why they are dis-recommended?). Uunet says their archive is a mirror of some other site (forget the name). Where is the best place to get the 386BSD binary set? Thanks, Bill -- bill@unixland.natick.ma.us ESIX Mailing List Moderator Public Access UNIX/USENET/E-MAIL! UUCP Accounts Available!
