At my location I use BSDI's commercial BSD/386, and I used to use it as a router (moving up to dedicated routers). I assume that it would be easy to use [386/Net/Free]BSD to route from a dial-up SLIP or PPP to an ethernet. Do any of the BSD's support a sync serial card like the RISCom N1? If so, a cheap 386 box should be able to route from a 56K leased line to an ethernet. Quite a bit cheaper then a cisco :) Cheers, -- Matt Harrop mharrop@interlog.com InterLog Internet Services voice (416) 537-7453 fax (416) 532-5015 Online Publishing, Marketing, and Support on the Internet Dedicated Dial-Up and Leased Line SLIP or PPP Internet Connnectivity
