The only given is that this server would have a minimal console monitor (Hercules monochrome) and the CPU board would be a 386/33 or better. I would like to connect up my two other pre-existing PCs (running DOS) with cheap Ethernet hardware and inexpensive DOS or Windows based software (shareware or public domain if I can get it). Specific questions are: 1. What type of SCSI board and drives are supported 2. What type of Ethernet boards are supported. 3. What type of PC software can be used for simple file access 4. What type of PC software is available for Xserver/client sessions. I am most interested in hearing from anyone who has set up a NETBSD to PC server though I will take any suggestions. Since I am a novice at this (Though I have access to wiser people) I would like to bring up a system with the least surprizes. -- --------------- Jerrold L. Gray UUCP: jgray@Data-IO.COM
