I just successfully upgraded using the upgrade script.  The only
problems I had were that it didn't notice the 'at 0xfe100000' entry in
by kernel config (it was looking for upper case) and I had to manually
install/merge some of the /etc files (which I expected).

I didn't unpack the srcdist over my old one, I created a whole new
/usr/src tree and just copied over my kernel configuration.
