Message-ID: <4958@tuegate.tue.nl> Date: 4 Aug 92 14:05:13 GMT Sender: root@tuegate.tue.nl Organization: Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands Lines: 14 I have a working copy of 386bsd v0.0. In the installation notes it says that one should always run install when installing 386bsd v0.1. Isn't it possible to unpack all files on a current v0.0 system, compile a new kernel and go on? It would mean a big gain of time for me, since I have an ethernet adapter, so I can load all of the files directly from tape (on another machine on the lan). But the adapter is NOT on the irq as mentioned in the installation notes.... -Guido -- =============================================================================== WIRE, Wiskundig Ingenieurs Eindhoven | wire@win.tue.nl PO Box 6421 | 5600 HK Eindhoven The Netherlands |
