I have a couple of quick questions... (NOTE: It would be easier if you replied by mail so as not to waste bandwidth and so I can get it ASAP. Thanx!) 1) I remeber there is/used to be a list of supported video boards posted periodically, but I can't seem to locate it. All I remember is that certain (ie: Viper) diamond products were not supported beyond generic VGA modes, and that cards such as the ATI Mach32 were. I was planning on using this card because it fits my general needs, but it seems I may not be able to get it. One card available is the Matrox Atlas, but I have no knowledge of it. If someone could direct me to the supported cards list, I would be very grateful. Also, if anyone has any recommendations for any of the cards mentioned, or others, please mail me. 2) I have noticed throughout the flame wars (especially when the Free/NetBSD merger was decided against) that each platform has it's own points -- advantages and disadvantages. If someone could point me to a place where I could find these features (or tell me some of the highlights) so I could decide which to use, it would be helpful. 3) Can someone point me to where I can get a multiple-boot program that will let me run Unix opposite DOS or OS/2 (undecided as of yet) -- also if there is more than one available where I could find the differences or what the major differences are. (For the above mentioned system) 4) Anything else you think it would be important for me to know that I might not have picked up while scanning the BSD newsgroups. Thanks! Jef Pearlman (stowaway@bronze.lcs.mit.edu) p.s. Possibly more to come, I appreciate all the help... -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- | "I can't think of anything really witty | Jef Pearlman | | to say here..." -Me, 09/14/93 | stowaway@bronze.lcs.mit.edu | -------------------------------------------------------------------------
