I'm the proud owner of an AST-compatible 4-port serial card. It currently
has a mouse, a terminal and two high-speed modems plugged in to it, but
I'm at the stage where I really need to put another modem or two online.

It would appear that the only sensible alternative would be to replace
the four-port card with an 8-port card.

Could anyone who has had success with 8-port cards perhaps send me some
email to summarize their experiences with them? In particular, I'm looking
for good brand-names and/or features I should watch out for (besides the
obvious, such as 16550 inclusion :-)

Thanks in advance,

    - mark

I tried an internal modem, newton@cleese.apana.org.au
