We have exactly same problem on FreeBSD1.1-Current(3/20) with Two
CONNER CFP1060S 1.05GB 1823. First time, We thought this was happen
by bad board(two bt747s/bt742a), bad cable, bad termination....But we
change to twist pair cable, External Active termnater, Adaptec
board... We could NOT get rid of this symtom.

Last possibility is Conner's disks....So we decided to return the disks
and try to two Quantum 1080Ss' And then our problem has gone!!!!

My Conclusion: CFP1060s firmware version 1823 is somthing worng under
the multi task O/S (Not MS-DOS/Windows).

I hope this is your help.;-)
