Hi there!

We want to retrieve AUTOMATICALLY the hardware and software
configurations of UNIX machines. We know how to get every item in
the following lists, but we are looking for an integrated utility
(or part of one) that could do all this.

We're looking for something that would work on every
machine/UNIX-OS match. However, I think this will be hard to find.
So, if you know something that will work on a brand of boxes,
and that is preferably public domain or freeware, I would appreciate
your help!!!

Of particular interest are:

Physical

   RAM (amount)
Hard disks (size, type, partitionning, free space)
   Floppies (size, type)
   Screen (type, resolution)
   Keyboard (type)
Any other peripherals (printer, modem, cd-rom, tape backup)
   Others?

Logical

   Network address
   File, printer, NIS server
   router
   Users
   Others?

Performance

CPU, network, NFS, memory, i/o's, RPC, etc.

You had to do it? You know someone who did it? You know where I
could look for some useful information?

I'd like to hear from you!
