A little fact that you might be interested in.

In Japan, the word "UNIX" is not the registered trademark of USL nor AT&T,

but it is "Nihon Maranz" 's registered trademark, 

was long ago reported on the newspapers.

The company manifactures audio equipments like stereo amplifiers.

The category of that trademark covers electric apparatus as well as computers.

However it seems that the UNIX operating systems is sold inside Japan

probably under the agreement with "Nihon Maranz", 

which I don't know the details.
