In any case, I'll be hosting a small and informal FreeBSD BOF on Wednesday night at 7 - 8PM, scheduled to not conflict with the NetBSD BOF (so those wishing to attend both, can). Details of room assignment will be posted on the BOF board at the show. I will be the only core team member able to make it, but I'll spend about half an hour fielding questions and discussing both current and upcoming plans for FreeBSD. The second half will be open discussion. I will also be bringing samples of the latest and just released FreeBSD 1.1 CD for inspection, which will also be for sale at the show. I'll also be helping out and answering questions about FreeBSD at Walnut Creek CDROM's booth in the vendor show, so stop on by and see me there if you wish - I'll be happy to sell you a CD! :-) [The FreeBSD project receives no money from CDROM sales, but we're always glad to see it made available through such convenient mediums, and Walnut Creek has been of great help and support to us throughout our history by providing us with a place to work ] Finally, if I can wangle it, I'll also have a small laptop running FreeBSD at the BOF for inspection and general bashing on - there should also be one at the Walnut Creek booth, barring any last minute power problems. If I have time, I'll also make up a couple of sets of installation floppies for loaning out and bring them with me - show up with your laptop at the BOF and we'll see if we can install a couple of the things in a corner or something! :-) For those that don't already know, FreeBSD is a freely available 4.3 BSD based version of UN*IX for the Intel architecture and can always be ftp'd from our main development machine `freebsd.cdrom.com', the the most recently released version of which being FreeBSD 1.1. Hope to see you at the BOF! Jordan
