hi there,

i had tried several times in making PEX and SHM to both
exists in the XFree86-2.1 server in vain.

i had enabled SYSVSHM in the kernel, while shmtest run fine,
auto_box refuse to run but reporting "unable to connect".

to add, i'm using FreeBSD-1.1, and build XFree86 from source.

when SHM was disabled, PEX run fine.

i am to run mpeg_play with SHM to enjoy performance gain and
am learning PEX, hopefully some pointer may solve the problem.

btw, is the problem still exist on XFree86-3.0 of X11R6?

clarence
