I posted asking why postgres was not running for me (FreeBSD-1.1R) As I got down the packages-1.1 copy. It turns out I got it from the main uk site for this software (mentioned as a mirror site on freebsd.cdrom.com) and it appears to me that it has incorrect labels, but I might be wrong. I refer to my experience of trying to get postgres from there. I tried packages-1.1, and it seems that this actually contains a different file to the one on freebsd in the (supposedly - i guess) equivalent packages-1.1 subdir ! Am I right ? dave
