Organization: private FreeBSD site Date: Sun, 29 May 1994 11:34:10 GMT Message-ID: <CqKAtD.5tD@luva.stgt.sub.org> Lines: 24 Hi, I've searched (grep'ed my disk nearly to death :-) for faqs, articles on this toppic to no avail :-( The problem: I've a perfectly working dumb site receiving mail and news using uucp (which dials to my (sole) feed). My feed has offered me a slip connection and now I would like to use this slip connection to receive mail and news. Slip works perfectly too (ping never loses a packet, traceroute gives back the right infos and ftp'ing around is great). I've discovered that it's *not* enough to change `port type modem' to `port type tcp' and setting `address my.feed' in the system configuration file. So please, what else is needed? -Michael -- ------------------------------+------------------------------ Michael Giegerich | migieger@luva.stgt.sub.org ------------------------------+------------------------------
