I thought that Linux allowed for virtual memory (paging to disk). If so
how do I control if my process (or part) can be swapped? Can VM be
disabled? If not then I wouldn't be so quick to say "check".

I take it no check here means no :)

Is there somebody that I can call/send email to and say fix this, its busted
and I don't pay for busted software?

about price...
: Free- check.

Free is an interesting word. I would guess that you mean no initial
monetary outlay. But given that the value of my time is greater than
0, I guess I wouldn't say free.

: Price/Performance Ratio= pretty damn close to infinity.

If the price was really 0, then the Price/Performance would be 0.

: Just a humble Linux fan...

I like Linux, but only I'm allowed to be biased here and only for QNX :)
