Message-ID: <9414511.18195@mulga.cs.mu.OZ.AU> Sender: news@cs.mu.OZ.AU Organization: Dept of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, University of Melbourne Date: Wed, 25 May 1994 01:06:40 GMT Lines: 16 I installed the xview 3.2 package for FreeBSD 1.1 (with shared libs). All the apps except olvwm, olwm, and olwmslave fail (usually with SEGV, however textedit seems to prefer IOT). This failure occurs after the window has opened, i.e. a window is briefly visible by is immediately deleted as the application fails. It could be worse -- I really got it for olvwm, my window-manager-of-choice (each to their own :-). Does anybody else have the same problem? Does anyone have any idea what the cause is? Does anyone have a fix? Is that too many questions? :-) Mark. -------------------------------------------------------- Mark Summerfield, Photonics Research Laboratory Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of Melbourne ACSnet[AARN/Internet]: summer@ee.mu.oz[.au] --------------------------------------------------------
