I'm running FreeBSD 1.0R, with a NE2000 comp. network (ed0) It works fine,
BUT I can't post news (now on another 'puter).

I use emacs-gnus to read news, using NNTP to get it from a second (non *BSD)
system. It works as expected. However when I try to post a message I get an
error. ONLY THEN !! I can use rsh, ftp etc (and read news)

When I try to post news (more than about 2 lines) I get the following
errors: ( Copy from xconsole)
May 23 14:42:26 beowulf /386bsd: ed0: remote transmit DMA failed to complete
May 23 14:42:37 beowulf last message repeated 3 times
May 23 14:42:38 beowulf /386bsd: ed0: NIC memory corrupt - invalid packet length 19969
May 23 14:42:41 beowulf last message repeated 2 times
May 23 14:42:49 beowulf /386bsd: ed0: remote transmit DMA failed to complete
May 23 14:43:13 beowulf /386bsd: ed0: remote transmit DMA failed to complete
....

Emacs don't crash (However it waits until transmit is ended, but ^G^G
works) Also the network is still up (I'm using rsh now)

Also, using the 1.1R kernel give the same problem.

Is this a know bug, can it be fixed? is there a workaround?
