I was wondering how FreeBSD handles tape drives.
I've heard the Linux ftape sucks and makes backups really hard to do.

Any SCSI or standard floppy tape drive should work fine (including DAT
and 8mm EXABYTE drives).

Can you mount tapes and just use it virtually as a normal drive?

I don't know what you mean by `mount it' - these aren't 1/2" tapes
we're talking about here anymore! :-)
