Please forgive me -- but I can't keep very good context because I am not on my home machine when reading news. Are you running on an ISA bus machine with > 16MB? If you are -- I just found a bug (and have *finally* been able to reproduce it) that acts *EXACTLY* like the problem that you have been experiencing. This problem only manifests itself on -current with bounce support and only under certain kernel configs. It no longer breaks my machine with a kernel that otherwise would mess up my filesystem. I have it in test and if you whant to try the fixed modules -- email me at dyson@implode.root.com, where I can send you the files *much* easier. John dyson@implode.root.com
