For example, I have noticed that the default terminal (pc3?) shows yellow text, whereas the screen program (which uses vt100 emulation) shows inverse-blue text. This suggests that my terminal has both capabilities. Also, ansi color information is ignored under the vt100 emulation, or so it seems. I am also looking for a way to get better readability under X. The types is too small, and I am too poor to buy a bigger monitor. Suggestions? I currently use 1.3u (I know it's old, but it works) and fvwm. -- Protect our endangered bandwidth - reply by email.
