I don't know about NetBSD, but Linux supports the 3c509. Why mention this? Well, 3Com has a promo deal right now, and you can get 2 3c509 cards for $99. You have to call 1-800-net3com and ask for the promo deal. The Linux Ethernet-HOWTO FAQ says the card has excellent performance for a non-mastering design, and notes that it is only rated for bus speeds to 8MHz and requires very low interrupt latency. Sorry, I don't know how to order the promo package outside the USA - or how long the promo will be continued. -lar -- Lar Kaufman personal account: lark@world.std.com "Smile when you say that." _The Virginian_, by Owen Wister
