Oh dear, is there something in the water up there in Canada?  You
remind me of someone else with a similar address..  No matter.  I
think you have to take into account the fact that until this counter
came along, as "useless" it may be for various statistical purposes,
there was nothing else to even come close to filling the void.  To be
sure, some of us have also had our doubts as to the veracity of the
counter, and it has always seemed suspicious that out of a projected
user base of some 250K users we have only 652 signed up, but hey!  Who
are we to argue when we don't have anything more credible of our own
to offer?  So we simply encourage people to make themselves more
visible and we go about our business rather than needless flaming
those who are at least TRYING to do something.

So easy to tear down, so much harder to build.
